Meet Robin Zom, a director from Brabant (NL). Robin didn't study film, but his passion for visual storytelling led him to direct his own short films and commercials. His style is bold, raw, and unapologetic - but never loses it's cinematic aesthetics. His goal is to appeal to as wide an audience as possible, by combining visual style and compelling narrative. Robin is primarily inspired by old masters of filmmaking. This allows him to connect old-school techniques with new-age, resulting in a cinematic perspective for every production. In addition, he has an extensive knowledge of films and uses this knowledge as inspiration during the creative process. Sure, he spends an unhealthy amount of time watching movies (like, way too many per week), but hey - it's his passion, and he's not afraid to show it off in his work.
